ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
CREIGHTON BERRY
An artist all his life, working in advertising art and then as a freelance illustrator, Creighton, since his so called "retirement", has devoted himself to work in collage, oils, watercolor and mixed media. His works, that are forever young, are exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the Northeast.
SHERRY SCHREIBER
A multi media artist of unusual vision and technique, is inspired by the stunningly beautiful places she has lived in the world; most notably France, the East End of Long Island and the island of Jamaica. Her work in any medium exhibits a freshness of concepts that is beautifully executed. Sherry has exhibited internationally with many solo exhibits and her works are in corporate and private collections that have led to publications in numerous books and magazines.
ANDREW XENIOS
A man of many talents. Aside from his drypoint etchings shown here, Xenios' work also includes photography and painting. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, is in many publications, and has had numerous solo shows. He is in the permanent collection of Harvard's Fogg Museum as well as the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and others.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
ROSAMARIA EISLER
Educator and award winning artist and printmaker, Rosamaria will be showing her latest works here at the Gallery.
GORDON GAGLIANO
Known for his landscapes and sensuous nudes, Gordon's new work is more abstract and filled with dynamic form, shape and color.
ALEX RUSSO
Enlisted in the United States Navy during World War 11, he documented in art North African, Sicilian, and Normandy invasion operations. His work has evolved from the figurative to the abstract and semi abstract.
DON SACO
This will be Don's first time exhibiting here at the Gallery. His new works are of welded steel and, among these works, appropriately enough, they are titled Quartet, Quintet and are musically inspired. His figurative bronze works will also be shown here at the Gallery. Regardless of whether they are figurative or abstract, his work always conveys a sense of movement and power.

It is rare to find two artists from different parts of the world working in different mediums, having never met and each arriving at a body of work totally original and yet speaking a universal language.
Duet is about that 'eureka' moment experienced by artists.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Barbara McClatchie
Barbara McClatchie is a Canadian photojournalist and, more recently, an abstract photographer. Her early work is primarily documentary and focused on cultural themes in the emerging world where she has traveled to over 54 countries.
Barbara's photo essays have been widely published in international journals including National Geographic and The World & I. Her photographs have been exhibited in one-woman shows in Guatemala, Mexico and Canada. She has also participated in group shows in Canada, The United States, Guatemala, New Zealand and Mexico. Her focus is now on abstract photography and these photographs that are her newest work are debuting here at the deCordova Gallery.
Daniel W. Welden
Printmaker/Painter/Educator/Author/Innovator and Pioneer since 1971 of "Safer" Printmaking, Dan has had over 65 solo exhibitions including 4 museum shows throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, Peru, and Switzerland and over 500 group exhibitions worldwide.
Dan Welden has taught internationally in disciplines such as painting, photography, book arts and printmaking in various locations including: 1999-10, Florence, Italy; 2005, Mykonos, Greece; 2004, Corsica, France; 2004, 06, 08 Lima, Peru. He has printed for artists such as Dine, Johns, Motherwell, Rauschenberg, Rivers, Steinberg and collaborated withWillem and Elaine de Kooning, Dan Flavin, Kurt Vonnegut, David Salle, Eric Fischl, Roy Nicholson, Linda Benglis among many others.
He is the Co-Author with Pauline Muir "Printmaking in the Sun" Watson Guptill, 2001and the producer of the film "Printmaking in the Sun" 2005. He has lectured at more than 150 universities, art schools, television and radio programs, galleries, museums and community groups in 35 states, as well as in Belgium, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, France, Mexico, Estonia, Greece, Scotland and England and has been the recipient of numerous grants and residencies worldwide.

Benefit for the East End Student Film Project

Our 2010 season begins with an exhibit of sculpture, painting and film celebrating the East End Student Film Project (EESFP).
EESFP, based in Greenport, is an important resource for young people interested in film and video as a vocation, artistic outlet or means of communication and expression
For the past four years, they have held a film festival here at the Greenport Cinema showcasing over 60 films created by students from the East End.
